Spring 2023 Housing Expo
On April 1, the 13th Annual Northern Virginia Housing Expo returns, this year with both in-person and virtual exhibits. As always, this free public showcase features information, resources, and education sessions for everyone seeking trusted avenues to navigate housing matters.
In-person visitors should arrive early to browse exhibits, free workshops or register for one-on-one sessions. Virtual visitors may see all exhibits using the Expo’s online portal, available soon.
Visit the Advocates for Citizen Access virtual exhibit featuring Aging-In-Place readiness, improving mobility after pandemic isolation, finding and filing for your Virginia unclaimed funds and tips to combat scams and other fraud. Dozens of government agencies, local housing advocates and licensed housing service providers will exhibit on topics like access to Fair Housing support, the Virginia Mortgage Relief Program, local housing and development programs.

Our resources, research and collaboration with local State and Federal partners have equipped our advocates to promote and advocate for under-resourced individuals, focusing on timely interventions to ability to make informed decisions.
Community Access in 2022 Midterm Elections

Sunday October 30 is “Souls to the Polls Sunday” an important nationwide initiative to promote early voting. Health Equity and Housing Matters
In a 2022 documentary on the Smithsonian Channel, the lens is focused on how people of color have been affected by substandard health care. Free tickets for virtual viewing Thursdays until September 29. Startling facts are presented by medical and health policy professionals, with personal testimony from those affected during the pandemic. View introduction here.
