The Prince William Coalition for Candidate Forums cordially invites you to join us for our 2023 Candidate Forum Series. Our Coalition is an alliance of nonpartisan organizations who believe in civic engagement and having an informed, enthusiastic and engaged electorate. Our goal is to foster meaningful and constructive discussion on the issues that matter most to our community. 

We will have these forums on September 16th, 18th and 21st in different regions of Prince William and they are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Health and Wellness Fair

We announce our proud support the for the important work of the National Council of Negro Women, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Northern Virginia Alumnae Chapter. This health and wellness event returns in-person April 29, 2023 10:00am – 2:00pm. Our own exhibit will be one of many important resources and free screenings. Don’t miss out!

Spring 2023 Housing Expo

On April 1, the Annual Northern Virginia Housing Expo returns, with both in-person and virtual exhibits for 2023. After the Expo, all virtual exhibits will remain open in the Virtual Exhibit Hall. On April 1, every showcase is free and features housing information exhibits and related residential resources, with education sessions for those seeking trusted guidance while navigating housing matters. Visitors will have access to dozens of government agencies, local housing advocates and licensed housing service providers will feature topics like including Fair Housing, Virginia Mortgage Relief Program, and local housing and development programs.

Virtual visitors may visit all exhibits using online Exhibit Hall here. Advocates for Citizen Access has a Virtual Booth, featuring Aging-In-Place preparedness, improving mobility after pandemic restrictions and tips to combat scams.

In-person visitors on April 1, should arrive when doors open to register for free workshop, at the hosting exhibitor’s booth early! Space is limited.

Our advocates serve as liaisons to connect the public with resources for affordable health care access, safer living options and civic engagement.   Our resources, research and collaboration with local State and Federal partners have equipped our advocates to promote and advocate for under-resourced individuals, focusing on timely interventions to ability to make informed decisions.

Health Equity and Housing Matters

In a 2022 documentary on the Smithsonian Channel, the lens is focused on how people of color have been affected by substandard health care. Free tickets for virtual viewing Thursdays until September 29. Startling facts are presented by medical and health policy professionals, with personal testimony from those affected during the pandemic. View introduction here.
